  • Who is the programme for? Is it mainly for people who want to change careers?
    The programme is for anyone who wants to re-energise their career. This can be for a number of reasons, and part of our work together is to get clarity on where you are and what it is you’re looking for. You don’t need to have your goal fully figured out before you start. Some of my clients started the programme imagining they're after a big career change, but then realised this was not the right way forward. Someone started looking for support in securing a promotion, but then realised they wanted to change jobs. It can be hard to know what would satisfy that craving for change without delving a little deeper first.
  • You say this is a career coaching programme. What do you mean? How does it differ from career counselling?
    Career coaching with me focuses on your personal strengths, values, on where you find meaning and helps you take the next steps in your career based on these fundamental factors. My coaching is non directive which means that I'm not going to tell you what to do. Instead, I'll help you by facilitating your best quality thinking and supporting you as you move forward. In contrast, a career counsellor usually offers tactical and directive support to help you get a job: they will give you information about the job market, tips on how to perfect your resume and offer interview practice. While my Career Reboot programme offers more practical support in Module 6, practical advice is not its main focus. Instead, it's about helping you create a work life that is right for you.
  • What is the best time to sign up to the programme?
    The programme is suitable for different stages. This includes early stages of change when something feels “off” with your job and you'd like to explore it and get clarity about what to do about it to more advanced stages where you know where you're headed and are looking for support and accountability to accomplish your goal. Regardless of where you are the best time to start is now, there will never be a better time to get clarity on where you’re headed, inject positivity into your role, and get intentional about your career goals. You will however get best results when you're ready to hold yourself accountable to the goals you set and the outcomes you want to achieve.
  • One of the modules doesn’t apply to me - do I still need to go through it?
    Not at all. The trajectory through the programme is fully flexible, meaning that you can spend as much or as little time in each module, or even skip modules altogether. This all depends on your goal and career situation, and we will choose the topics to be discussed in each session that are most relevant to you.
  • How much time is needed to complete assignments between the sessions?
    There are exercises and assignments for each module, and I recommend to complete them throughout the programme at a steady pace. It’s hard to say exactly how much time is needed as it’ll be a mixture of the reflection exercises that we will use as the basis for our discussion and practical assignments to complete in between sessions that help you move forward. The ultimate decision on what practical steps you choose to take between sessions will always be yours.
  • Where do the 1-to-1 coaching sessions take place? How do I schedule them?
    Most of our coaching sessions will take place via video calls (zoom, Skype). You can schedule your sessions using my online calendar on the booking page.
  • What do I need to prepare ahead of my first session?
    You don’t have to do anything at all. You don't have to prepare for the session, you don't have to bring a goal or be able to articulate anything. You just get to come and be you. I will drive the session by asking questions. It's perfectly fine to not know what you need before the first session - clarity usually starts emerging as we start working together.
  • How long does it take to go through the programme?
    It takes 3-4 months on average, but it can be more or less than that. It will be up to you to choose the frequency of the sessions that works best for you.
